Job Overview
Adney Tree Service is seeking a knowledgeable, experienced Arborist Sales Specialist / Estimator to help drive consistent work for 1–2 production crews while ensuring jobs are clearly scoped and executed as promised.
This role is ideal for an experienced arborist who enjoys estimating, selling work, and overseeing job execution, while still being comfortable stepping into the field when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate & Sell Tree Work
- Conduct on-site estimates for residential and commercial clients
- Sell sufficient work to keep 1–2 crews consistently scheduled
- Clearly explain scope, pricing, and expectations to customers
- Job Coordination & Oversight
- Meet crews at job start to communicate objectives and scope
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and as promised
- Act as the main point of accountability between customer and crew
- Hands-On Support (When Needed)
- Assist crews with climbing, rigging, and equipment operation as required
- Lead by example with safety, professionalism, and work ethic
- Organization & Documentation
- Use company-provided iPad and systems to document jobs, estimates, and notes
- Maintain clear communication with ownership and operations
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Tree Industry Experience (Mandatory)
- Strong background in climbing, rigging, and running equipment
- Comfortable working on-site and supporting crews when necessary
- Estimating Experience (Mandatory)
- Proven ability to scope, price, and sell tree work accurately
- Availability
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Transportation & Driving
- Clean driving record (must qualify for company insurance)
- Personal vehicle required during the 90-day probationary period
(Truck preferred)
- Professionalism
- Adequate work clothing for both customer-facing estimates and field work
