There is no shortage of tree species that can be planted in the Central Coast area, but some are unquestionably more popular among homeowners and property managers than others. Currently, a few of the trees our clients are most interested in installing include:
Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia): This hardy native oak is beloved for its longevity, drought tolerance, and tendency to produce a wide, attractive canopy.
California Sycamore (Platanus racemosa): Known for its fast growth and distinctive mottled bark, sycamores provide excellent shade and year-round visual interest.
Olive Tree (Olea europaea): Favored for its Mediterranean look, the olive tree is a drought-tolerant species that thrives in dry conditions and requires minimal maintenance.
Arbutus ‘Marina’ (Arbutus x ‘Marina’): This popular ornamental tree provides beauty throughout the year with its reddish bark, glossy leaves, and pink spring flowers.
Coastal Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens): While it’s only suitable for large properties, the coastal redwood is a majestic species that thrives in cool coastal areas.
California Pepper Tree (Schinus molle): With its graceful, weeping foliage and ability to withstand droughts, this tree reliably thrives in our area and adds a soft, textured look to landscapes.
Crape Myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica): Popular for its vibrant summer blooms, indestructible nature, and manageable size, this tree provides reliable summer color in a small- to medium-sized package.
Arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis): Commonly installed for privacy screens, arborvitae grow densely, provide year-round coverage, and are available in a variety of cultivars.

Not all tree planting projects are the same. You may only need us to plant a single 10-foot-tall plum tree to help beautify your lawn, or you may need us to install 200 arborvitae around the periphery of a commercial property to help provide privacy and reduce street noise. That’s part of the reason we offer a number of different tree planting services, including the following:
Our residential planting services focus on choosing the right tree for your space, soil, and sun exposure, as well as your long-term goals. We evaluate both the site and the surrounding landscape to help you select the best species for the area and ensure it not only looks great now but continues to thrive over the long term.
Commercial properties often require coordinated, large-volume planting to establish borders, create visual appeal, or meet local development requirements. Our tree-installation professionals can manage these types of projects from planning to execution, ensuring each tree is strategically placed, properly spaced, and installed with longevity in mind.
If you want trees that’ll provide privacy, serve as a windbreak, or reduce street noise, species selection and placement are critical factors for the project’s success. There are a number of potential options for achieving these kinds of goals, ranging from arborvitae to tropical evergreens, which can create the kind of natural barrier you need.
Sometimes the best tree for your landscape is one you already have. But whether you’re redesigning your yard or simply want to preserve a mature tree, our transplanting services can help relocate your trees safely and successfully. During these projects, we’ll assess the tree’s root structure and health, and time the move to minimize stress.
The Central Coast’s climate makes choosing the right species essential for long-term success. Fortunately, there are a number of native and drought-tolerant trees that will thrive in our area, despite our low rainfall totals and arid climate. Additionally, by planting varieties naturally suited to the region, they’ll be more likely to survive dry spells.
Successful planting begins long before a tree goes into the ground and continues long after the trees have been installed. That’s why we offer full-service site preparation and aftercare options, which will help ensure the initial planting goes smoothly and that your trees receive the follow-up support they need to become established.
Most people intuitively know that trees provide a wealth of benefits, but many don’t understand the full value that new trees can provide to a residential or commercial property. A few of the most important ways trees improve properties include:
