Job Overview
Adney Tree Service is seeking a reliable, experienced Ground Crew member to support daily tree operations. This role is critical to job safety, efficiency, and overall crew success.
This position is for someone who understands that great tree work starts on the ground, takes pride in hard work, and is looking for a long-term career—not seasonal or temporary employment.
Key Responsibilities
Ground Operations & Crew Support
- Perform all ground-based duties associated with professional tree work
- Drag brush, feed chipper, stack wood, and maintain clean job sites
- Assist climbers with rigging, rope handling, and job flow
- Safely operate chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment (based on experience)
Safety & Jobsite Readiness
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices
- Maintain awareness of overhead work and jobsite hazards
- Communicate clearly with climbers and crew leads
Work Ethic & Professionalism
- Show up on time, prepared, and ready to work
- Maintain a positive, team-first attitude
- Work efficiently in outdoor conditions for full workdays
Required Experience & Qualifications
Tree Industry Experience
- Prior experience as a ground crew member preferred
- Willingness to perform all ground-based tasks without hesitation
Transportation & Driving
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must qualify to drive company trucks
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the yard required
Physical & Job Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Comfortable working around chainsaws, chippers, and heavy material
- Able to bring adequate food and water to sustain a full workday
Commitment
